Hearing that the robotics team at nearby Windsor High School had lost its sponsors and mentors, Team Paragon asked the eager students to join their team. The skills and personalities of each team collided into explosive concoctions of talent and unique ideas, and perspectives within the students changed. At the post-season event Bash at the Beach, the team won the Blazing Bots Award.
After a bit of a struggle at the New Jersey Regional, Team Paragon discovered SPIRIT!! The team donned capes and became true "superheroes" as we rose to stardom as Regional Champions at the FIRST Robotics Competition UTC New England Regional in Hartford, CT.
In the off-season, we worked as a team for Habitat for Humanity, framing, painting and siding.
We traveled to the National Competition in Atlanta, Georgia where we went undefeated in the qualification rounds, making it to the Semi-Finals - a great accomplishment! We were also Champions at Beantown Blitz with Engineering Elegance in the post-season, and received the Best Design Award and Runner-Up Award at Battlecry.
