This past weekend, March 29-31, Team Paragon attended its first competion of the 2012 season at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, CT. After a difficult build season, the team went in without knowing what to expect from the competition. The first day was spent adding last-minute fixes to the robot, both mechanical parts and programming updates that the team didn’t have time for during the regular build season. The next day, Paragon raced into competition with a strong robot capable of shooting, balancing, and defending, with the most focus put into the defense. The drive team worked hard to ensure the robot took advantage of every opportunity, going for the highest score possible. The team won a few matches and lost a few matches, but had a great experience working with the other teams and enjoying the spirit of competition.
